Dr. Paul Mitchell

Dr. Paul Mitchell is an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and extension state specialist in cropping systems and environmental management with UW Extension. He is also co-Director of UW Extension’s Nutrient and Pest Management program, a faculty affiliate with the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at UW-Madison, and an International Science and Technology Practice and Policy (InSTePP) fellow at the University of Minnesota’s InSTePP Center. His research, teaching and outreach focus on the economics of crop production, emphasizing pest management, risk management, and agricultural sustainability.  Paul heads up research strategy and statistical analysis for FieldRise assessment programs.
